WHY IS FRID BETER THAN USING BARCODES ?

  • RFID is not necessarily "better" than codes.
  • The two are different technologies and have different applications, which sometimes ovalap.

  • The big difference between the two is bar codes a line-of-sight technology.
  • That is, a scanner has to "see" the bar code to read it, which means people usually have to orient the bar code towards a scanner for it to be read.
  • Radio Frecuency identification, by contrast, doesn't require line of sight. RFID tagscan be read as long as they are wihtin range of a reader.

  • Bar codes have orders short comings as well.
  • If a label is ripped, soiled or falls off, there is no way to scan the item.
  • Standard bar codes identify only the manufacturer and product, not the unique item.
  • The bar code on one milk carton is the same as every other, making is impossible to identify which one might pass its expiration date first.

HOW DOES AN RFID SYSTEM NETWORK ?

RFID system consists of a tag, which is made up of a microchip whit an antenna, and an interrogator or reader with an antenna.

The reader sends out electromagnetic waves. The tag antenna is tuned to receive these waves .

A passive RFID tag draws power from field created by the reader and uses it to power the microchip's circuits.

The chip then modulates the waves that the tag sends back to readerand the reader converts the new waves into digital data.

WHAT RFID (RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION)

WHAT?
  • Radio frequenzy identification, or RFID, is a generic term for technologies that use radio waves to automatically identify poeple or objects.
  • There are several methods of identification, but the most common is to store a serial number that identifies a person or object, and perhaps other information, on a microchip that is attached to an antenna (the chip and the antenna together are called an FRID transponder or an FRID tag).

  • The antenna enables the chip to transmit the identification information to a reader.
  • The reader converts the radio waves reflected back from the RFID tag into digital information that can then be passed on the computers that can make use of it.

THE TYPE OF BARCODE.

      Tag Barcode

  • Tag barcodes are the newest edition of 2D barcodes.
  • Tag barcodes can update the content any time without having to change the Tag.
  • Tags can be black-and-white or full-colour,including custom images (e.g., a company logo).

QR codes
  • The Quick Response (QR) Code was the earliest 2D barcode.
  • Owner of the QR Code treadmark, DENSO,has allowed the patents for the code to be freely available to the public.
  • It has a variety of diparates formats and reader apps, and can be black-and-white or basic colour.

Traditional Barcodes

  • Some services use mobile apps to scan these barcodes and display data such as prices, description, and user reviews.

ADVANTAGES TO USE QR CODE

  • Flexibility and Experience.
2D tags offer fantastics flexibility in terms of customers experiances. For examples, consumers                       interested in a Canon Printer can connect to a URL, download contact information, or watch a video.

WHAT 2D TAG (QR CODE)?

DEFINITIONS.

  • QR code is the first designed for the automotive industry in Japan.

  • A QR code consists of black modules (square dots) arranged in a square grid on a white background, which can be read by an imaging device (such as a camera)

  • The QR Code system has become popular outside the automotive industry due to its fast readability and greater storage capacity compared to standard UPC barcodes.

WHAT IS CLOUD COMPUTER ?

  •  Cloud computing is a type of computing that relies on sharing computing resources     rather than having local servers or personal devices to handle applications.
  • Cloud computing is comparable to grid computing, a type of computing where unused processing cycles of all computers in a network to solve problems too intensive for any stand-alone machine.
